Username Live Availability Check with PHP, Jquery & Ajax

In this tutorial i will explain Username Live Availability Check with PHP, Jquery & Ajax. It is very easy to implement in your application. Here i used $.ajax() function method. When user write something in input box $.ajax() function calls HTTP request and check whether this value is available in database or not.

Step 1 :

Create database and table. For this copy and paste below code in phpmyadmin sql query.

Insert some data in user field like sanjeev for test purpose .

Step 2 :

Make index.php file where html form and $.ajax() function is implemented. Here i used keyup() function where when user write some thing in input box then keyup() function event is called and send ajax POST request to “username-check.php” file. If user name is available then it said available.

Step 3 :

Make username-check.php. This file check whether this username is available or not in database table.
